We are pleased to announce our shortlisted nominees for the UKRN Dorothy Bishop Prize 2025.

The Dorothy Bishop Prize was created in 2021 to recognise and celebrate early career researchers working to promote open research. The inaugural Dorothy Bishop Prize was awarded in 2022.

The prize winners will be announced at the UKRN Annual Meeting on 21 March 2025. This year we are awarding three prizes, each consisting of a £500 Amazon voucher and a Lego minifig “Doscar.”

The shortlisted nominees are frontrunners in responsible research practice in their field, affecting real change by raising awareness, providing training and doing important advocacy work to foster a healthy research culture.

The 6 shortlisted nominees are as follows, in alphabetical order by first name:

  • Andre Maia Chagas
  • Annayah Prosser
  • Lewis Jones
  • Michael Biddle
  • Sacha Beniamine
  • Zahra Rahemtulla

This year we received 21 nominations for 19 nominees, and although we couldn’t shortlist every nominee, we were impressed by the quality and diversity of their work.
