Karen works at Cardiff University and dedicates one day a week to her role as an ORCA in the Open Research Programme. Cardiff is an unfunded partner and yet, both Karen and the institutional lead, Karin Wahl-Jorgensen, have significantly contributed to the OR4 Project. Karen’s background is in research, having completed a PhD and various research roles at Bristol, focusing on global feminist activism. Transitioning from research to professional services, she became the Responsible Research Officer at Cardiff, overseeing the implementation of DORA. Recognizing synergies with open research practices and equity issues, she eagerly took on the ORCA role. Read Karen’s full story.
