Spotlight an ORCA is intended to highlight the significance of Open Research Coordinators and Administrators (ORCAs) within the Open Research Programme. ORCAs, alongside other staff members, are essential contributors responsible for delivering various program outputs, including the train-the-trainer program, OR4 resources and community, surveys, open research indicators, and the program’s living website. Beyond their role in program delivery, ORCAs also play a crucial function within their respective institutions by facilitating the transformation of these outputs into local benefits. These benefits range from enhancing the knowledge of trainers to reforming recruitment and promotion processes, improving understanding of open research uptake, and fostering learning from other institutions.
Our first spotlight is on Anna Korzeniowska, who is the ORCA at the University of Surrey.
