We are excited to announce the release of a new impact case study, UKRN: Supporting Improvements to Biomedical Research Using Antibodies.
The OGA (Only Good Antibodies) community joined UKRN in 2024 as a way to further its aims to improve research quality and integrity. In this first of a new set of UKRN impact case studies, Dr Harvinder Virk, NIHR clinical lecturer in Respiratory Sciences at the University of Leicester, outlines how OGA’s collaboration via UKRN has already made a tangible difference, and will thereby improve patient outcomes.
OGA unites diverse expertise from academia, industry, and non-profits to enhance research integrity and reproducibility, aligning with the mission of the UKRN. Their collaboration with YCharOS Inc. focuses on increasing access to high-performing antibodies, reducing waste, and advancing best practices in antibody use. Through open science partnerships with 26 key stakeholders, they strive to support trustworthy research, improve diagnostics, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.
