Louise Saul is ORCA at Southampton University
Louise is the ORCA at Southampton, blending her research expertise with a passion for supporting others’ research. Outside work, she enjoys custom-building bikes, currently working on a 1970s Revell road bike, and cares for her Thai rescue cat. After earning her first degree, Louise gained experience in both established companies like GSK and startups, followed by a PhD in crystallography and postdocs in computational toxicology and immunology. Though academic life wasn’t a fit, teaching allowed her to balance family life.
